This edition of the plastic kit from Kovozavody Prostejov presents the Seafire Mk.Ib carrier fighter with decals of machines operating over Africa and the Mediterranean. The injection-molded plastic model in 1:72 scale is complemented by clear cockpit parts; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Seafire Mk.Ib was the naval conversion of the Spitfire Mk.Vb fighter for the British Fleet Air Arm. The carrier machines with an arrestor hook proved themselves supporting landing and convoy operations, among other places in the area of North Africa and the Mediterranean. The combination of the proven Spitfire airframe and naval modifications made the Seafire a flexible carrier fighter.
Assemble and paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage, and clean the joints up carefully with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a gloss coat before the decals so that the markings do not silver. An airbrush and a base coat suit even coverage of the typical camouflage schemes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
