1:72 photo-etched float bracing wire set for the Short Sunderland Mk.I/Mk.III flying boat in stainless steel from the manufacturer SBS Model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched accessory in stainless steel that replaces the bracing wires between the wing and the stabilizing floats of the Short Sunderland flying boat in the Mk.I and Mk.III versions, 1:72 scale. The flat photo-etched parts with a profile faithfully imitate the real bracing and are stronger and straighter than monofilament. It is not a model but a detailing accessory.
The Short Sunderland was a British four-engine flying boat used during the Second World War above all for long-range maritime patrol and anti-submarine work. It served for a long time and was one of the mainstays of Coastal Command.
Separate the parts carefully, clean them up and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Measure the positions out against the kit in advance; the stainless photo-etch can be tensioned slightly so that the bracing is not bowed. Degrease and prime the metal before painting.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
