A set of five shaped sanding sticks designated A1 to A5 in the 7 mm width version. Unlike ordinary abrasive paper, a shaped sanding stick keeps its profile, so it sands exactly where you place it and does not round off the surrounding edges. The seven-millimeter width is a compromise between reach into narrow places and a reasonable working area, so it suits most ordinary work on a model. The particular material and the grit of the abrasive layer are on the packaging of the set.

Use

• Sanding gaps and filled seams down on a fuselage, a hull or a car body
• Cleaning up the remains of sprue gates in places a file will not reach
• Leveling small surfaces between details without damaging the surroundings
• Working transitions of shape where a given curve has to be kept
• Finishing work before a base coat is applied

Who the set is for

The set will be appreciated by modelers for whom abrasive paper on a finger is no longer enough and who want to work more precisely. Five shapes cover flat surfaces, edges and internal transitions, so a set bought once serves across fields: aircraft, military vehicles and cars. If you build a lot of small models, consider the narrower version of the same set as well, while the wider versions, by contrast, remove material faster on large surfaces. Keep the sanding sticks clean and knock a clogged layer out or brush it carefully.

When sanding plastic and filler, work in a well ventilated space and protect your airways, as fine dust is easily inhaled. Keep tools out of the reach of children.
