1:72 SIAI SF-260D/W European Users is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian light aircraft from Kovozavody Prostejov, in a box devoted to European operators.

An unassembled plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Kovozavody Prostejov. According to the name the box covers the D and W versions and it is focused on European operators. The difference between the two versions lies in the conception of the machine: while the D is purely a trainer and sporting aircraft, the W is a derived variant adapted to carry stores.
The SF-260 is an all-metal single-engine low-wing aircraft of Italian origin from the design office of Stelio Frati, built by SIAI-Marchetti. Its small dimensions, aerodynamically clean airframe and strong six-cylinder piston engine give it unusually good flying qualities and allow aerobatics. The pilots' seats are side by side and the machine has dual controls, which makes it a sought-after advanced trainer type. Alongside the purely training versions, a variant with a strengthened wing and pylons also came about, intended for weapons training and light support tasks. The type spread to civilian as well as military users in Europe, Africa and elsewhere and stayed in production for whole decades.
Finish and paint the cockpit before you cement the fuselage halves together. Cover the glazing with a mask or narrow tape before spraying, so that it stays clean. If you are going to build the version with stores, assemble and paint them separately and attach them only to the finished model. Apply the decals to a glossy base and fix them with a final clear coat in the degree of gloss you want. Try the parts dry before gluing; with short-run molds it is sometimes useful to sand the mating surfaces lightly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
