An injection-molded plastic kit of the turboprop version of the Italian SIAI-Marchetti SF-260TP trainer in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. The Part 1 designation refers to the first selection of color schemes for this variant. The set contains parts in gray plastic, a clear canopy and a decal sheet.
The SF-260TP is a turboprop reworking of the proven piston-engined SF-260. The turbine engine gave the aircraft more power and reliability, so it found use in training and as a light attack and counter-insurgency machine with a number of smaller air forces. Its recognition feature is the longer nose with the turboprop powerplant. The turboprop version extended the life of the proven design by decades and it still serves in a number of countries today.
Clean the small parts carefully and sand the joints. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. For the colorful schemes use an airbrush and masking; put a gloss varnish down before the decals. Emphasize the pylons and the aerials with a dry brush and a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
