A resin conversion set from the Czech manufacturer AML for kits of the Sukhoi Su-2 aircraft in 1:72 scale. It holds parts for building the variant with the M-82 engine and a decal sheet. It is an accessory for a base kit, not a stand-alone model.
The Sukhoi Su-2 was a Soviet single-engine light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft with a crew of two, used mainly in the first years of the German-Soviet war. While the standard production aircraft were powered by the M-88B radial engine, part of the production received the more powerful fourteen-cylinder M-82, the same engine later made famous by the Lavochkin fighters. The M-82 variant differs from the standard one above all in the shape of the engine cowling, so the conversion visibly transforms the whole nose of the model.
Wash the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and true the surfaces by sanding with your airways protected; we recommend filling and sanding the transition of the new cowling into the fuselage. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply the decals on a gloss base and go over them with a decal softener so that they settle into the engraved lines.
The set is an accessory; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
