Colibri Decals 1:72 T-34/76 STZ mod. 1942, part 1 is a decal set with the markings of Soviet T-34/76 tanks built at the Stalingrad Tractor Factory, for models in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This decal set from Colibri Decals concentrates on Soviet T-34/76 medium tanks of the 1942 pattern built at the Stalingrad Tractor Factory (STZ). The decals in 1:72 scale bring tactical numbers, slogans and national markings characteristic of this production series. It is the first part of a subject that further sets follow on from.
The T-34/76 was the key Soviet medium tank of the Second World War. Vehicles from the individual factories differed in details of the hull, the turret and the running gear, and so it makes sense to choose markings matching a particular production series. The vehicles carried varied slogans and tactical numbers, often applied by hand.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss varnish. A decal softener and fixer will help the decals follow the broken-up surface of the armor and the welds. Once dry, overcoat with a matte varnish and add weathering, washes and dust pigments for the faithful look of a machine in the field.
This is a separate decal set, not a model. The kit and paints are not included in the package.
