A set of historical figures, 1:72 Jinetes, 16th century, set 1, from the maker Red Box: Spanish light cavalry, the first of two parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
Mounted historical figures in 1:72 scale from the maker Red Box. Jinetes is the designation for Spanish light cavalry. The set is listed as the first of a pair; the second has Set 2 in its name and is a separate product. The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted on the sprue.
Light cavalry behaves differently in a scene from heavy cavalry: it does not reinforce a line but moves along its edge. On a diorama you will therefore use this set to suggest the direction from which the scene opens up rather than to fill the center of the composition.
With mounted sets the thinnest parts are the lances, the reins and the plumes, and it is precisely these that tend to be deformed in the package and precisely with these that the order of work is most often got wrong. A procedure that saves the nerves: first straighten the parts in hot water, then clean up the mold parting lines, only then glue, and always glue from the largest assembly to the smallest. Anyone who starts gluing before straightening the shape usually cannot get a deformed part into position without damaging the joint. Wash the figures before painting and let them dry out thoroughly.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
