A separate figure cast in modeling resin in 1:35. It is not a vehicle kit, nor an add-on for a hull, but a figure that gives a finished model scale and life. The casting is supplied unpainted and unassembled. The sequence number No. 2 in the name tells this pose apart from the other figures of the same subject in the maker's line.
Resin renders sharp edges, the folds of fabric and small equipment more faithfully than injection-molded plastic, but it is harder and more brittle. Wash the parts before building, therefore, in lukewarm water with dish soap — that removes the remains of mold release agent, on which paint would not hold. Cut the casting block off with a modeling saw a little way from the part and sand the remainder down carefully; go over the parting lines with fine sandpaper or the edge of a scalpel. Always sand with your airways protected, ideally wet. It is glued exclusively with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as ordinary cement for polystyrene has no effect on resin.
The proven approach is a thin coat of primer that does not flood the detail, then the areas of the clothing and the equipment, and only at the end the skin. You pull the folds of the fabric out with a glaze and a fine dry brush, and model the face with oil paints or heavily thinned acrylics. Leather and metal accessories take a semi-gloss, and finish textile with a matte clear coat — a glossy surface flattens a figure out optically in this scale. The pose is calm and conversational, so it suits a group scene beside the hull of a vehicle, at an open turret hatch or on a fender.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, a base and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
