A collector's model of the modular Boxer wheeled armored vehicle in 1:72 scale from the finished range of the maker Dragon. The model comes assembled and painted including the markings, so there is no gluing, filling or spraying. The 1:72 scale matches an ordinary collection of modern vehicles, so the model fits in size among the other vehicles in a display case.
The Boxer came out of the international MRAV program, that is a multi-role armored vehicle. Its main feature is modular construction: a chassis drive module in an 8x8 layout carries the powerplant, the steering and the crew station, while the rear part is formed by an interchangeable mission module. Depending on the module fitted, the same vehicle thus serves as an armored personnel carrier or as an ambulance, command or workshop vehicle, and the module can be changed on a single chassis. The vehicle is designed with the emphasis on ballistic and mine protection for the crew and is among the heaviest machines of its class. The A2 form is a later production configuration of the vehicle.
The model is a finished product to be displayed. The eight-wheeled chassis carries a number of small details such as mirrors, grab handles, headlights and antennas, which on a finished model are the most vulnerable and at the same time the hardest to get dust off. We recommend a closed display case and handling it by the hull rather than by the superstructures. The color form and the markings come from the factory.
The model is supplied assembled and painted. It is not a kit, and you need neither glue nor paints for it.
