A clip-together kit of plastic bricks and shaped parts. The model is built by joining parts that fit into each other with no tools and without any chemicals - the system is compatible with common brick kits. The color areas, the grilles and the lettering features are printed directly on the parts, so once the last part is clicked in the model is finished and calls for no further work. The manufacturer is the Polish brand COBI, which specializes in brick models of automobiles and machinery.
The Opel Manta introduced in 1970 was a sporting coupe built on the engineering of the Ascona of the day. Against it the coupe was given a lower roof, a longer hood and a separately treated rear end - a shape language which in Europe matched the wave of compact rear-wheel-drive coupes of the time. Inline four-cylinder engines were at work under the hood, the body was a unibody and the wheelbase shared with the sedan kept production costs low. It is precisely the combination of an affordable price and a striking look that made the first-generation Manta one of the best remembered European cars of the 1970s.
Sort the parts out before the build and work in sections, so that you do not get lost among similar shapes. The joints hold firmly, so the model will stand up to handling and carrying about. Build on a flat board, so that the chassis seats without strain and the wheels stand evenly. The finished car is displayed as it is; care comes down to dusting it with a soft brush now and then.
The kit is supplied unassembled. Check the number of parts and the dimensions of the finished model on the packaging.
