About product

Mi-4 Hound kabuki masks 1:48 – EXPERT (New Ware)

This is NOT a kit but a set of self-adhesive painting masks in 1:48 scale for a model of the Soviet Mil Mi-4 helicopter (Hound in the NATO code). The masks are die-cut from kabuki paper (fine masking tape), which follows the shapes of the many glazing frames exactly and comes off without adhesive residue. The EXPERT grade is the most complete level of the set.

Use

  • Meant for the Mi-4 model in 1:48 scale (the kit has to be obtained separately)
  • Masks for the broken-up frames of the cockpit glazing and the cabin windows, from the outside and the inside
  • As a rule also masks for the landing gear wheels and other small parts
  • Apply them, spray over them with paint and take them off carefully once dry

Who the set is for

For modelers put off by the slow work of cutting tape for the many windows of the glazed nose cabin of the Mi-4. The masks speed the work up considerably and give clean, straight paint edges.

This is an accessory (painting masks), not a helicopter model. Paints and the kit are not included.

FAQ

No, it is a set of die-cut painting masks. The Mi-4 model itself has to be obtained separately.

The helicopter has broken-up glazing with many windows, and masking it by hand with tape is slow; the masks speed the work up considerably.
