A finished collector's model of the British fighter aircraft Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX in 1:72 scale, in the form of a particular machine.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX came about as a quick answer to the German Fw 190: the proven airframe of the older version received a more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, a V-twelve with a two-stage supercharger, thanks to which the aircraft held its own at greater altitudes again. The Mk.IX became one of the most numerous versions of the type, and foreign pilots in the service of the Royal Air Force flew its machines as well.
A finished collector's model in 1:72 scale. It is supplied assembled and painted, so it is neither glued nor painted and after unpacking it can go straight into a display case. The form corresponds to one particular machine, with its own serial number and code marking on the fuselage; the form is associated with the Polish fighter pilot Eugeniusz Horbaczewski, who flew Spitfire Mk.IXs in the service of the Royal Air Force. In a collection the model therefore does not overlap with an ordinary form of the same type.
Place the model away from direct sunlight, which over time changes the shade of the paint and of the printed markings. Wipe the dust off with a soft brush or a dry cloth, not a damp one, so that the fine details stay unchanged. While carrying the model, hold it by the fuselage, not by the propeller, the landing gear or the antennas — the protruding parts are the most vulnerable. If you move the model more often, it pays off to keep the original packaging and to store it in it.
You do not need paints or glue for the model. A display case and other equipment for display are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
