Plastic kit of the Honda NSR500 road racing motorcycle in 1:12 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya, in the Factory Color edition (the works color scheme). The model faithfully reproduces the engineering of the two-stroke Grand Prix machine, including a detailed engine and frame. Transparent fairing parts are included as well, so the inner mechanics of the motorcycle can still be seen once the model is assembled. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Honda NSR500 was the works racing motorcycle of the 500 cc class in the road racing world championship (Grand Prix). It was powered by a water-cooled two-stroke V4 that offered an extreme power-to-weight ratio in a light frame. For years the NSR500 was among the most successful machines of the premier class and it is one of the icons of the two-stroke Grand Prix era.
Assemble and paint the frame and the engine before the fairing covers them. Use suitable paints on the metal and chrome parts, a gloss clear coat on the glossy fairing and fine sanding for a perfectly smooth surface. Apply the sponsor decals onto a dry gloss base and seal them under a coat of clear. Leave the transparent fairing parts clear if you want the inner mechanics on display.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
