1:72 He 219 V11 with parachute brake is a decal set from the OWL brand in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit and not a part for one: it is a sheet of decals with which you mark a finished and painted model of the twin-engine Heinkel He 219 night fighter. The model itself, the paints and the varnishes have to be obtained separately.
The Heinkel He 219 was a twin-engine night fighter with nose gear and a crew of two, developed in Germany in the later part of the Second World War. The letter V in the V11 designation belongs to test aircraft, on which design modifications were verified before they reached the production versions. For this machine the name of the set gives a brake parachute, that is, a device that shortens the landing run after touchdown. Check the extent of the sheet on the packaging of the set.
Decals hold best on a smooth gloss surface, so varnish the places they are to go with a gloss varnish before applying them. Cut the motif out close to the edge of the printing, soak it briefly in clean lukewarm water and let it rest for a few tens of seconds, until the film releases from the backing paper. Slide it onto the model with a soft brush and draw the excess water off with a paper towel. On a broken-up and riveted surface a decal softener applied to a still damp decal helps; until it dries, do not move the part any more. Once dry, go over the model with a matte or semi-gloss varnish, which will hide the edges of the decal film.
The package contains decals. The model, the paints, the varnishes and the decal softener are not included, unless stated otherwise.
