Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures in 1:35 scale from a range devoted to the fighting in Normandy in the summer of 1944. It is not a kit of equipment, nor finished painted figures, but a set to assemble and paint. Scale 1:35 is the most widespread for figures to go with military equipment, so the set joins easily to models of vehicles and to diorama accessories of the matching size.
Normandy in the summer of 1944 is among the most frequently built subjects in military modeling, because it offers a combination of equipment, hedgerows and rural buildings. The set is conceived as a group of figures that can be arranged into a shared scene, which gives the view a story and keeps it from looking like a row of separate figures side by side. Check the particular number of figures, their poses and their armament on the box.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut off the mold seams and the casting marks with a sharp knife and polish them with fine sandpaper. Try the assembly dry and plan the arrangement of the figures on a base or in a diorama in advance. Apply a base coat before painting. Build the uniforms by layering, from the base shade through a darker wash into the folds to a fine highlight on the edges, and leave the faces for last. A summer scene is helped by restrained dust on the boots and the lower part of the clothing. Unify the surface with a matte varnish at the end.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
