DUAL EXO 6B – PROPELLER FIRE 60ML.

Dual Exo 6B Propeller Fire, acrylic paint, 60 ml

An AK interactive acrylic paint from the Dual Exo range, a 60 ml container. The shade carries the fanciful name Propeller Fire, which does not in itself determine the color tone, so compare the color against the manufacturer's color chart. The coat dries to a satin, that is semi-gloss, finish.

How to choose a shade by its name

In ranges with poetic names the name of a shade is an identifier, not a description of the color. For buying it is therefore sensible to go by a color chart and by how the shade looks next to the other paints you already have. If you are building a model where several areas have to keep a consistent tone, it pays to buy one larger container instead of two small ones: paints from different batches can differ slightly and when you top up in the middle of the work it shows on the model. The 60 ml volume largely solves that problem.

Use

• Shake the paint well before use, as the pigment settles.
• Apply in thin coats with a brush or an airbrush.
• Try the shade out on an offcut of sprue first rather than straight on the model.
• Choose the thinner and the cleaner according to the recommendation for acrylic paints of the range.
• Close the bottle carefully after working and wipe the thread, otherwise it will seize.

Who the paint is for

For modelers who work with color ranges for science fiction equipment, robots and fantasy subjects and want a shade with a ready semi-gloss. The larger volume will be appreciated by anyone who paints larger areas or returns to the same tone repeatedly.
