Dual Exo Set 3, 3A Power Yellow and 3B Fusion Orange

The Dual Exo range from AK interactive is acrylic and the shades in it form pairs marked with the letters A and B. Set number 3 brings the pair Power Yellow and Fusion Orange together. Paints of the same names are also made individually, in the acrylic range with a satin finish, so the coat is semi-gloss and looks silky on a model, neither flat nor sharply glossy.

Both names point to the warm part of the spectrum, to yellow and to orange. With saturated warm shades it generally holds that over a dark base they need more thin coats, so it pays to work over a lighter base and not to hurry. A pair from the same set moreover goes well together in transitions, where one tone forms the area and the other is used for highlighting the edges and the lit places. A satin finish is at the same time a good base under decals and stands up to later weathering.

Use

• An acrylic paint for plastic, resin and 3D printed parts, preferably on a degreased and primed surface.
• It is applied with a brush as well as an airbrush in several thin coats with a pause to dry.
• Warm saturated shades are practical to apply over a lighter base.
• A pair from one set can be combined for areas and for highlights.
• Shake the bottle well before use, as the pigment sinks to the bottom when standing.
