German Battleship SMS Posen is a printed publication from the Kagero publishing house devoted to a German battleship from the era of the first dreadnoughts. It is a book, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A title from the naval book output of the Kagero publishing house. It deals with the battleship SMS Posen, one of the units of the Imperial German Navy from the years before the First World War. It is a text to read — you will find no model and no accessory for a model in the package.
On the real subject
SMS Posen was a battleship of the Nassau class, that is the very first German class of dreadnoughts. That class differed strikingly from the British pattern: the main battery was laid out in a hexagonal arrangement with turrets along the sides, and propulsion still came from reciprocating steam engines rather than turbines. It is exactly these features that make the ships of the Nassau class a technically distinctive chapter. The Posen served with the High Seas Fleet and took part in combat operations in the First World War.
For modelers of ships of the First World War period, for collectors of naval literature and for readers interested in the development of surface vessels. The text is technical and factual.
This is a publication, not a model — hence no scale. Check the extent, the language and the year of publication in the imprint of the book.
