An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from the Czech manufacturer Mark I Models. The package is conceived as a double one, it contains parts for two machines, and it offers decals for several marking options. The characteristic twin-boom layout of the Vampire is clearly apparent even at this tiny scale. It is a rewarding model that builds quickly, ideal for a larger group of jet equipment.
The de Havilland Vampire was one of the first British operational jet fighters. The F.3 version brought an increased fuel capacity and revised tail surfaces, which improved the range and the stability. With a mixed wood-and-metal fuselage structure and a pair of tail booms, the aircraft served with a number of air forces in the postwar period and became a striking symbol of the first generation of jet fighters.
Dry-fit the parts and use liquid cement for the plastic. Glue the tail booms precisely so that they stay parallel. We recommend a base coat of primer and a fine application with an airbrush; apply the decals over a gloss clear coat to prevent silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
