Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from Roden. The subject is the exceptional Heinkel He 111Z Zwilling (German for twin): two fuselages of the He 111 bomber coupled by a common wing center section with a fifth engine in the middle. It is precisely this twin, coupled layout that is the main draw of the model, as the result has five engines and two complete cockpits. Even in the small 1:144 scale it is a wide and striking model.
The He 111Z was created by coupling two He 111 airframes with a fifth engine added, to give it enough thrust to tow heavy cargo gliders, above all the giant Messerschmitt Me 321 Gigant. It served for the strategic movement of troops and cargo; only a few were built in 1941 and 1942 and they joined a special unit.
The key is joining the two coupled fuselages accurately with the common wing center section: try the joints dry and glue them with liquid cement so that the result is not twisted. Separate the small parts of this small scale carefully. Mask the glazed cockpits, unify the model with a primer and apply the paints with an airbrush in thin coats.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
