A plastic kit of the Soviet twin-engine piston-engine airliner Ilyushin Il-12 in 1:144 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Amodel. It is a short-run injection-molded model intended rather for more experienced modelers. The model is built from plastic parts and finished with decal markings according to the instructions.
The Il-12 was a postwar Soviet airliner with a pair of piston radial engines and with the tailwheel layout replaced by a nosewheel arrangement. It served civil transport and the air force alike, carrying passengers and cargo on regional and medium-haul routes. Its NATO reporting name was Coach, and it became the basis for the later development of the Il-14 type.
Dry fit the parts first and dress the mold seams. It is worth masking the cockpit glazing, and on the large fuselage areas use an airbrush and primer. Apply gloss varnish before the decals and finally even the surface out to the sheen you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
