Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-23 fighter, Flogger in the NATO code, in the small 1:144 scale from Academy. The model is usually arranged with the wings in variable geometry, a simple cockpit, a clear canopy and decals for machines of the period. The small scale makes the model a quick and undemanding build for a collection of Cold War jets.
The MiG-23 was a Soviet fighter of the second half of the Cold War with a characteristic variable geometry wing: the pilots could change the sweep angle in flight according to the flight regime. The adjustable wing combined good takeoff behavior with high speed. The type served in the Soviet Air Force and with a number of friendly states and became one of the most widespread fighters of its time.
In the small 1:144 scale, take care over a clean fit of the fuselage halves and cleanup of the seams, because small irregularities are conspicuous on a miniature. Decide whether to fix the wing in one position or to leave it movable. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and the canopy with a canopy glue. For even shades an airbrush and a light base work well; a fine wash will bring the panel lines out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
