Eduard 1:144 P-51D photo-etched set of fine photo-etched detail for a miniature model of the Mustang fighter. An accessory for the demanding, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for a model of the North American P-51D Mustang fighter in the miniature 1:144 scale. Even in this scale photo-etched parts can lift the standard of a model markedly: they add fine detail to the cockpit and the surface of the airframe that injection-molded plastic cannot render faithfully at so small a size. It is an accessory, and the model of the aircraft itself is not in the package.
The P-51D Mustang was an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War, famous for escorting bombers deep over Germany. The D version is marked by a teardrop canopy with an excellent view and by six 12.7 mm machine guns in the wing; with drop tanks it reached an exceptional range.
In 1:144 scale the parts are genuinely tiny, so work over a light-colored surface, use pointed tweezers and cut the parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface. Glue them with cyanoacrylate applied on a pin in a minimal amount. A bending tool or two razor blades will make the folds easier; degrease the photo-etched parts before painting.
This is an accessory: a kit of the aircraft is not included in the package. Please check compatibility with your own kit.
