Weikert Decals Tiger I S04 1:16 is a set of wet decals with the markings of the Tiger I tank carrying the designation S04 from the 101st SS heavy tank battalion, Russia, February 1944.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of waterslide (wet) decals in the large 1:16 scale with the markings of one particular Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger I heavy tank. The set concentrates on the command vehicle with the designation S04 from the 101st SS heavy tank battalion from the fighting in Russia in February 1944, and it contains tactical numbers and national insignia in a large format suited to large scale models.
Thanks to its heavy armor and its 88 mm gun, the Tiger I was among the most feared heavy tanks of the Second World War. Designations beginning with the letter S were used by the command vehicles of the battalion staff. The large 1:16 scale makes high demands on the quality and accuracy of the decals, because the markings are strikingly visible on the model.
Apply the decals to smooth gloss varnish, so that the film does not silver. Once dry, a softener will help, and on large areas work with plenty of water and a soft brush. Finally, unify the surface with a matte varnish and add a patina.
It is not a model of the tank but a decal set. The kit itself, paints and glue are not part of the package.
