A set of water-thinnable acrylic paints by AMMO of Mig Jimenez from his railroad range. It focuses on German electric locomotives, that is on the typical colors of bodies, running gear and railroad detail that a modeler otherwise has to put together from individual bottles.

Use

• Stir the paints thoroughly, because acrylic pigment settles to the bottom; they can be applied with a brush and with an airbrush.
• Divide the model into assemblies, body, roof, running gear, interior, and paint them separately before you put the whole together.
• Use a primer coat on plastic; acrylic holds better on it and the surface looks more uniform.
• Apply the decals to a dry surface unified with varnish, and the weathering right at the end.
• It is thinned with water or with an acrylic thinner of the same chemistry; clean brushes and the airbrush immediately after work.

Who the set is for

For railroad modelers working with German subjects and for diorama builders who build station scenery and need to keep the colors of rail vehicles together. The shades of railroad equipment can also be used on industrial buildings and civilian vehicles.

Electric locomotives have their own peculiarities that painting has to allow for: the large smooth areas of the body, on which every unevenness and every transition between brush strokes shows, and on the other hand the intricate running gear, where dirt collects. Rather spray the body, therefore, and build the surface up from several thin coats, while the running gear and the bogies will take rougher work and more pronounced weathering.

Check the particular shades, their number and the volume of the bottles on the box. Store the paints closed and out of the reach of children.
