Decalcas decals in 1:20 scale for the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally of the Seat Competicion team from 1979. Supplementary markings for building a competition car, not a complete model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet from the Decalcas brand for a model of the Fiat 131 Abarth in the trim that the car carried at the Seat Competicion team in 1979. The larger 1:20 scale means that the artwork on the body comes into its own really markedly and that it pays to devote time to preparing the base.
The Fiat 131 Abarth was a competition derivative of an ordinary family sedan, to which Abarth gave a twin-cam four-cylinder, a modified axle and a widened body with plastic parts. Unlike the later generations it sent the power only to the rear wheels, which in the hands of period drivers made it into a car that went through the corners sideways — an image by which the era of the end of the 1970s is remembered to this day. In Spain the Fiat cars were made under license under the Seat marque and its racing department built and fielded the 131 in home rallies, from where the running given in the name also comes.
In 1:20 scale pronounced grooves of the doors and the hoods run across the body. The surest approach is to let a decal over a groove dry out, then to score the groove with a fine blade and to coat it with the solution again, so that the film is drawn into the groove and does not stay bridged over it. Patience here makes the difference between stuck-on artwork and the impression of a painted surface.
These are separate markings without a kit; paints and varnishes are added according to your own build.
