A large plastic kit of the Soviet and Russian guided missile destroyer of Project 956 from the manufacturer Trumpeter. In 1:200 scale it makes a remarkable model over half a meter long that will catch the eye on any shelf. The package holds injection-molded plastic parts, clear parts, a stand and decals; check the exact contents of photo-etched parts and accessories on the box.
The destroyers of Project 956 (Sovremenny in the NATO code) were built from the 1970s as the main anti-ship strike unit of the Soviet Navy. Their main armament consists of anti-ship missiles, twin 130 mm gun turrets and surface-to-air systems; the task of the ships was to protect task forces and to attack surface targets. Several units are still in service today.
Build a large model in sections — first the hull and the decks, then the superstructure, the funnels, the gun turrets and the radars. Use a thin cement for plastic and light coats through an airbrush. We recommend a primer underneath and fine strips and railings to raise the realism; add the small parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The model is full-hull and you display it on the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
