This tinting film from SX-Art is a standalone accessory for building the K-4386 Typhoon-VDV armored car in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit but a set of shaped films for its glazing. This variant is cut for the Meng kit, so the outlines fit the clear parts from that particular mold.
The glazing of a model is usually the most conspicuous spot of the whole build once it is finished. Clear plastic gives away an empty or unfinished interior and looks flat. Tinted film imitates the tinted glass typical of armored cars in this class, unifies the reflection and dampens the view inside. Compared with spraying the clear parts, it removes the risk of overspray catching in the corners or of a coat of varnish fogging the surface.
Work only once painting of the vehicle is finished. Degrease the clear part and free it of dust, lift the film with tweezers and press it down from the center toward the edges so that no air stays underneath. Cut off any small overhang with a fresh blade resting against the edge of the frame. The film is applied dry, and neither glue nor decal softener belongs with it.
