An accessory for a car build that replaces the wheel supplied with a kit. The size in inches 16 given in the name matches smaller and older cars, on which this type of rim appeared most often. It is not a model of a car in its own right.
The RZ-II is a revived form of the older RZ type and combines two readings of the same pattern: at one glance it is a pair of sets of five spokes, at another ten separate arms. The rim was supplied in a form with a pronounced ring around the circumference, which on a number of color versions makes a contrast against the body of the rim. The pattern moreover stays readable even once a tire is fitted, because the drawing reaches all the way to the edge of the bead seat.
A double pattern of spokes tempts you to apply the paint heavily, in order to cover the traces of the mold; the result is the opposite, though, because the narrow gaps fill in. Work thinly and let it dry thoroughly between coats. The ring at the edge is worth masking and spraying separately, so that the division between it and the body of the rim stays sharp. Ten arms mean a lot of narrow gaps, which you reach with a brush less well than with an airbrush.
