What kind of accessory this is

The item belongs among the accessories for wheels and rims for car models in 1:24 scale. Swapping wheels is one of the most frequent modifications among builders of cars: the shape of a rim and how it sits under the fender influence the final impression of a model more than most other small details.

What is documented about the item

What is documented is the 1:24 scale and the placing among accessories for wheels. The name of the item is truncated and does not state which car the set is meant for, what form of rim it carries or how many parts it is made up of. You will find these facts in the manufacturer's instructions.

Building and painting tips

• If the parts are not polystyrene, then the joints are held by cyanoacrylate glue, not by glue for plastic.
• Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, degrease them and let them dry perfectly.
• Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down with fine abrasive paper.
• Try the fit dry: the pins and hubs differ from kit to kit and sometimes have to be adjusted.
• Move small parts with tweezers over a tray, so that they do not get lost.

Who it suits

The set is meant for modelers who are building a particular version of a car and want to replace the wheels from a kit with a more faithful form. This is an accessory for a kit, not a finished model. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
