1:24 Audi Quattro Sport S1 E2 sponsored by Daniels Communications - 1986 brings the livery of the car that took on the Pikes Peak hill course in 1986.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of decals from Decalcas in 1:24 scale turns a model of the Audi Quattro Sport S1 E2 into the car with the livery of the partner Daniels Communications from 1986. It is applied to a finished body; the kit is sold separately.
The E2 evolution is told apart from the basic Sport quattro at first glance by the massive downforce wings at the front and the rear, which were to keep the turbocharged five-cylinder on the ground. In 1986 the American veteran Bobby Unser sat in such a car and in the famous Pikes Peak hill climb in Colorado he drove to victory and to a record time for the course.
The wings, air scoops and fender flares are nothing but transitions and edges, so it pays to have an ordinary decal softener at hand. Seat the motif first, then tap it into a recess with a cotton swab and only at the end let the softener do its work, so that the film takes the shape. It also pays to start with the part that is the easiest to repaint in case of failure, and to go for the display side of the car only with confidence in the hand.
The model of the car and paints are obtained by the builder separately.
