An injection-molded plastic kit of the famous Ford Escort RS 1800 Mk.II rally car in 1:24 scale from the manufacturer Italeri. The set captures the car in the markings of the 1981 Lombard RAC Rally. The package includes rubber tires, a detailed decal sheet and color building instructions.
The Ford Escort RS 1800 was among the most successful competition cars of its era and dominated the British RAC Rally for several years in a row. The Mk.II became an icon of group rallying of the late 1970s and early 1980s, valued for its balance, its reliability and the unmistakable character of a rear-wheel-drive car.
Paint the body in gloss shades and let it dry thoroughly, and only then apply the sponsor decals. Use a gloss clear coat under the decals and at the end for a uniform surface. Assemble and paint the interior, the engine bay and the chassis separately, and fit the rubber tires only once the finish is complete.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
