This item is not a kit of a car, but a detail set for an engine compartment. The abbreviation ITB denotes individual throttle bodies, that is, an arrangement in which every cylinder has a throttle and an intake trumpet of its own. The set is intended for 1:24 scale and replaces or completes the simplified intake from the base kit.
The RB26DETT is a twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder of 2.6 liters from the hot versions of the Nissan Skyline GT-R. The individual throttle bodies belong among its marks of recognition and give the engine the characteristic look of intake trumpets lined up along the cylinder head. On a model it is a detail which is easily noticed and which, on mass injection-molded parts, tends to be simplified, because it is difficult to make in shape.
First try dry how the intake seats on the cylinder head and even any differences out with a file or abrasive paper while the parts are still accessible. Glue in spots with super glue, degrease the surfaces beforehand and spray them over with a primer. The intake trumpets look best with a lightly polished metallic or aluminum shade which you then knock back with a thin dark wash, so that the edges stand out. Finish the whole engine before you close it into the model.
It is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
