1:24 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Scale Detail-up set for Welly modeldetail

A supplementary set for the Range Rover Evoque model

A set of supplementary parts in 1:24 scale, intended for the Range Rover Evoque model that bears the Welly designation in the name. The point of such a set is to replace simplified elements with a finer execution and to add details that will not fit into a series-production model.

The real subject

The Range Rover Evoque is a compact SUV from Land Rover. Since its introduction at the beginning of the last decade it differed from other off-road vehicles mainly in its proportions: the low falling line of the roof, a narrow band of windows and a tall body side gave it a look that is closer to a coupe than to the angular off-road vehicles of the previous generation. It is precisely these proportions that make the Evoque a rewarding model, because the silhouette is recognizable at first glance.

Building tips

• First compare the parts from the set with the model and try to seat them dry, and only then glue them.
• Remove the original simplified element carefully and bit by bit, so that you do not damage the surrounding varnish.
• Tip the small parts out onto a light mat with an edge and work with tweezers.
• Choose the glue according to the material of the part; with parts that are not of polystyrene, super glue in a small amount proves itself.
• Wash and degrease the parts before painting, as the paint will otherwise not hold on the smooth surface.
• The exact procedure and the list of parts are stated by the manufacturer in the instructions.
