An injection-molded plastic kit of the British supercar McLaren Senna from Tamiya in 1:24 scale. The model reproduces the aggressive aerodynamic body as well as the mechanicals of the car precisely. The body is cleverly engineered: the panels seat onto a single monocoque part, which allows a very faithful shape. The model can be built in European, American or Japanese specification, and metal transfer decals with the marque logos are available as well. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The McLaren Senna is an extremely track-focused supercar named after the legendary Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna. It is powered by a mid-mounted turbocharged V8, and the whole car is given over to maximum downforce, dominated by a huge rear wing and active aerodynamics. Carbon fiber construction keeps the weight low, so it is among the sharpest road cars McLaren has ever built.
The parts are designed so that they can be assembled into blocks of the same color, which makes painting easier. Spray the body smooth over a primer and polish it with a gloss coat. The brake calipers and discs are separate, so the wheels turn while the caliper stays in place. The dashboard can be built in the road or the track position; think that through before you glue the interior.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
