The interior tends to be the weakest place on car models. An injection-molded kit as a rule offers the dashboard as one smooth piece, the seats without stitching and the door panels only suggested. Yet it is into the cabin that everyone looks who picks a finished model up, and the difference there between production plastic and detailed resin is visible at once.
The abbreviation LHD in the designation refers to the steering wheel on the left, that is to the version for North America and continental Europe. The S14 generation coupe was sold in the USA under the name 240SX from 1993 and its instrument panel differs from the Japanese subject not only in the side of the drive but also in the layout of the center console. That is exactly why the maker lists both sides as separate items.
The distinction between left and right is carried here directly in the name, which is not a given with this Ukrainian workshop – on a number of its sets the distinguishing mark is not stated in the name at all. The customer therefore knows which variant they are choosing from the name itself.
The S14 coupe was sold in North America until 1998 and in the following decade it became one of the most frequently modified cars there is. Surviving examples in original condition have grown so scarce that a production interior with left-hand drive is today a harder subject for a modeler than any racing treatment.
It pays to paint the cabin in parts before it is put together, because once glued you will not reach the corners with a brush or a nozzle. Matte shades read more convincingly on plastic interiors than glossy ones.
