A detailed injection-molded plastic model of the Porsche 911 SC/RS rally car in the winning configuration from the Oman Rally of 1984, in 1:24 scale from Nunu Models. The kit captures the characteristic body of the 911 with its massive rear wing, a detailed chassis with the front and rear suspension and the bottom of the engine, and a well-worked interior with a roll cage and rally equipment. Decals for the colors of the team that won the event are included.
The Porsche 911 SC/RS was created as a homologation special for Group B in 1984. It was powered by a naturally aspirated flat-six of around 2966 cc with an output of about 300 horsepower. The car was driven by Saeed Al-Hajri, who won the Oman Rally and the Qatar Rally with it and took the title in the 1984 Middle East Rally Championship. The model reproduces exactly this winning machine.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic; treat the body with a primer before painting. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats and lay the rally livery with its sponsor decals onto a smooth gloss base, then clear-coat over them if you wish. Paint and assemble the interior with the roll cage and the instruments before you close the body. Glue the chrome and clear parts (the glazing, the headlights) only at the end, so that they do not fog.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
