The item is an accessory, not a kit. These are photo-etched parts intended for a plastic model of the circuit Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T in 1:24 scale in the championship-winning 2013 season form. Sets of this kind replace simplified plastic elements with thin metal parts: grilles, fittings, mounts, interior elements and safety equipment. The make-up of the package is stated on the box; compare it with the kit instructions before building.
Circuit cars have plenty of thin sheet metal and wire parts on the body and in the cabin that cannot be faithfully cast in injection-molded plastic. Photo-etched metal has a real thickness and, once painted, looks considerably more convincing on a finished model. The extent of the work is up to you: you can use only a few of the most conspicuous parts, or go through the whole set.
Cut the parts off with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface and make the bends along the pressed grooves. Glue metal with cyanoacrylate or epoxy, as cement for plastic does not hold. Degrease the parts before painting and spray them with a primer. Parts that are to stay metallic and bright can be left unpainted and simply polished. Always consider the order: most of the details have to be fitted before you close the interior and put the body on.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without the base kit. Glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
