It is a scaled-down strap, that is, of an element which appears on real cars and around them in many forms, from tow and recovery straps through lashing straps for a load to straps holding a hood and accessories. It is not a model and not a kit of a car.
Why small things pay off. Models of cars are built very faithfully these days, but textile elements are precisely what is missing in kits, because they come out badly in hard plastic. A strap, meanwhile, humanizes a scene at once: thrown over a hook, rolled up in a trunk or stretched over a load, it suggests that someone works with the vehicle. In builds of Japanese cars a colored tow strap is also a typical feature of the look.
Separate the part carefully, as small elements are apt to spring away; work over a mat with a raised edge. Degrease the surface before painting and apply a thin base. Straps are made in striking colors in practice, so do not be afraid of a saturated red, orange or blue; add the metal parts with a brush. Using a light weathering, that is, a dark wash and a fine dusting with pigment, reliably rids a strap of a plastic look. Choose the gluing according to the material of the part, and on resin and printed parts use super glue.
