A sheet of Soviet license plates in 1:24 scale matching the pattern under state standard 3207-77, that is the form used roughly from 1980 to 1994. The form is typesetting: a plate is made up of separate characters, so you can put together your own combination of letters and digits instead of a fixed original. According to the name the sheet is made for kits without a limit to any particular model, so what decides is the scale.
The application procedure differs between the individual Quinta ranges, so follow the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with this set. The preparation of the base is always the same: paint the area of the plate, let it dry completely and rid it of dust and grease before applying. Move the individual characters with fine-jawed tweezers and lay out the spacing dry in advance, because a character that has shifted is hard to straighten at this scale.
The sheet will be valued by modelers who build Soviet passenger and utility vehicles in 1:24 scale and want a license plate that is legible and matches the period. It will come into its own in dioramas as well, where several vehicles stand side by side and each needs a different combination. A clearly legible plate is moreover often the first thing a viewer notices on a finished model from close up.
The vehicle model, paints, varnishes and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
