Responsibility details are not available.
This is an unassembled and unpainted plastic kit of a drag car built on the body of the Chevrolet Vega of the 1972 model year, in 1:25 scale from the MPC brand. The year 1972 in the name denotes the model year of the real subject, not the scale. Check the particular number of parts and the contents of the package on the packaging.
The Chevrolet Vega was a compact American car of the start of the 1970s whose light and short body proved an ideal basis for drag racing specials. Cars of the Pro Stock class keep essentially only the shape of the body from the production car - under it is a rigid frame, a massive V8 with a large tubular intake scoop protruding through the hood, a strengthened rear axle and wide slicks. The tilt-forward front end and the raised rear give these machines an unmistakable silhouette.
Finish the frame, the engine and the rear axle first - once the body is closed up you will not get to them. A bold gloss finish suits a drag racing special, so it pays to sand the parting lines carefully and to apply a filler primer. Spray the gloss shade in thin coats and let it cure thoroughly before you start on the decals. Apply the sponsor sheets on a gloss surface, settle them with a decal softener and overcoat with a clear coat. Bring the engine to life with a combination of metallic shades and a fine wash, and leave the tires matte instead, so they contrast with the body.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
