An injection-molded plastic kit of the Ford Mustang GT sports coupe of the 1988 model year in 1:25 scale from the American manufacturer AMT. The package contains more than a hundred parts, chrome-plated small components, soft rubber tires, clear parts and a decal sheet. The set offers optional elements of the build, among them removable T-top roof panels, alternative wheels and a reworking of the engine bay.
The Ford Mustang GT of the end of the 1980s belongs to what is called the Fox-body generation, that is, the third model line of the Mustang. It was powered by a 5.0 liter gasoline V8, which made the car an affordable and popular American pony car. The angular shapes of the body, the rectangular headlights and the bold front spoiler of the GT version are characteristic.
Join the parts with liquid plastic cement. We recommend spraying the body with an airbrush, letting it cure and polishing it to a high gloss; apply the decals on a gloss surface and go over them with a clear coat. Deal with the chrome parts and the glazing only at the end of the build. Degrease the parts before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
