The Gulfstream G550 is a twin-engine jet with a long range, originally built for business and transport use. You will recognize it by its slender fuselage with a row of round windows, its T-tail, its wing finished with lift-generating winglets and its two turbofans mounted on the sides of the rear fuselage. Its great range and long endurance made it a popular basis for special fits in which what matters is how long the machine can stay over the area being watched. The version designated by the abbreviation JSTARS is intended for watching the ground situation by radar and differs from the civilian form in added equipment and an antenna array.

A model of a transport aircraft stands or falls with a smooth surface, because a light glossy finish shows every imperfection of a joint. Fill the seams carefully therefore and sand them away to nothing, first with fine paper and finally by polishing. Fit the cockpit glazing and the small windows only after the fuselage is painted and glue them with a product intended for clear parts. Let the surface dry completely before applying the decals, so that the edges of the carrier film do not stay visible.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
