SPRAY Chameleon VIOLET TURQUOISE 400ml

An acrylic paint in a spray can of four hundred milliliters from the Chameleon line of the Green Stuff World brand. It contains pearl particles that change the perceived shade according to the angle at which light falls, so the surface passes between violet and turquoise. It is not a covering paint in the usual sense: the effect arises only in combination with the base, through which the paint partly shows.

The base decides

You get the strongest shift over a black base, ideally a gloss one. Over other base colors the move of the tone will be different, which can be used deliberately, but the result then differs from the sample on the can. It therefore pays to make a test on an offcut of a sprue before you touch the model.

Use

• Shake the can properly before use and during the work; the pearl particles settle to the bottom.
• Prepare the base with a black primer; over gloss black the effect comes out most.
• Spray from a distance of roughly twenty to thirty centimeters with a smooth side-to-side movement.
• Apply several thin coats; one heavy one runs and rather kills the effect.
• Cover the finished surface with a varnish according to the result you want; a gloss one brings the shift out most.

Who the spray is for

It will be appreciated by builders of fantasy and science fiction models, by wargamers and by everyone looking for an unusual effect on a larger area that would take a long time to cover with a brush. It is not suitable for period vehicles or for realistic camouflage.

Flammable aerosol under pressure. Work outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, away from sources of ignition and out of the reach of children. Do not expose the can to heat and do not pierce it.
