The 1:72 Caproni-Vizzola F.6M Prototype Early Configuration resin kit from SBS Model captures the Italian fighter prototype in its early shape.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin kit of the Italian single-seat Caproni Vizzola F.6M fighter prototype in 1:72 scale, this time in the form the name describes as the early configuration of the prototype. It is released by the Hungarian brand SBS Model, whose complete kits in this scale are built on resin castings, so this is a model for experienced modelers. Exactly how the early configuration differs from the later shape is described in the instructions supplied with the kit.
The Caproni Vizzola F.6 was a series of Italian single-seat fighters tested during the Second World War. Italian industry lagged persistently behind in aero engines at the time, so the F.6M version received the British Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine. The prototypes were modified step by step during testing, so the same machine looked different at various stages of the program. The type never reached series production and only a few examples were completed, which makes it a subject you will not find in the usual range of kits.
Wash the resin parts in warm water with detergent so that no mold release agent is left on them and the paint will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and protect your breathing when sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, not with plastic cement. Apply a primer before painting, which evens out the surface and shows up any remaining unevenness.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
