A decal sheet in 1:32 scale with the four-color lozenge pattern for the lower surfaces, complemented by rib tapes. The printing is in a faded tone with the grain of fabric.

German aircraft of the later part of the First World War did not carry a uniform finish on their fabric surfaces but printed cloth with a pattern of irregular polygons. The pattern broke up the outline of the machine and at the same time saved work with paint and something in weight. The lower surfaces were given a lighter execution of the same pattern than the upper ones, because against the sky they were meant to blend into the background. The covering was sewn to the ribs and the resulting seam was covered over with a narrow tape of the same cloth, so that regular stripes ran across the wing.
This is a decal sheet in 1:32 scale with the four-color pattern for the lower surfaces and with rib tapes on the same sheet. According to the name the printing is carried out in a faded tone, with the grain of fabric and with an overprint effect, so that the surface does not look like smooth colored wallpaper but like cloth. How many sheets it contains and what span it is enough for is stated in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed.
The elements are applied as waterslide decals. The base has to be smooth, clean, degreased and evened out with a gloss clear coat, as on matte paint a silvery veil forms under the film. Cut the piece somewhat larger than needed, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest on the paper until the film moves freely. Carry it over to the moistened place, set it with a soft brush and draw the excess water off with a cloth from the middle toward the edges. Use a softener to pull the film into the engraving and over the bulges of the ribs. Apply the tapes only onto dry covering, so that they run exactly above a rib. Cut any overhang past an edge off with a sharp blade once it is dry.
The model of the aircraft, the paints, the clear coats and the softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
