This set is a resin detailing accessory for models of the Heinkel He-219 night fighter in 1:72 scale. It holds the nose antenna system of the FuG 202/212 radar matching the prototype machines V6 to V11. The manufacturer is the Czech company AML.

The real subject

The FuG 202 and FuG 212 Lichtenstein radar was installed on the nose of the night fighters and showed itself in an array of rod antennas. The development He-219 machines differed in the form of the antennas from the later production machines.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut the casting blocks off carefully, as the antenna supports are thin and brittle. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and mind the symmetry and the correct angle of the antennas. Apply a primer before painting.
