The Eduard 1:32 photo-etched detail set for the Albatros D.III is a metal accessory for refining a model of the biplane, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched accessory of brass sheet for detailing a model of the German Albatros D.III fighter biplane of the First World War in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model or a kit, but an add-on set for a truer treatment.
The photo-etched parts complete the fine features that are hard to reproduce in plastic: cockpit details, fittings, fastening and bracing features and other small things typical of a period structure of wood and fabric. On biplanes of this period, etching comes into its own in the places where thin and precise metal is needed.
The parts are separated with a sharp blade or shears for etching, formed with a bending tool and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The metal surfaces are worth degreasing and treating with a base coat before spraying, so that the paint holds well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
