Montex 1:32 Curtiss P-40F Warhawk is a masking set for the cockpit glazing of a kit you already own. It is not a model and not a part of one.
Responsibility details are not available.
According to the name, these are masks for the cockpit canopy. The templates are cut to the shape of the individual frames, so all you do is transfer them to the clear part and press them down. The set holds no model — it is an accessory for a kit you already own. In the larger 1:32 scale the framing of the canopy is pronounced, and an inaccurate paint edge catches the eye at first glance.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-engine fighter with a liquid-cooled engine. The P-40F version differs from the others in its powerplant: instead of the Allison it received a license-built Rolls-Royce Merlin, so it lacks the characteristic carburetor intake on top of the cowling. Machines of this version were used above all in the Mediterranean and North Africa.
Mask only after the interior is finished and the canopy is seated. Apply the paint from the bottom upwards: the light lower shade first, then the upper camouflage colors, so that the transitions overlap in the right direction. Let the paint set between coats, or it will flake when a mask is removed. Deal with panel lines and the wash only after the masks are off, so that the dark solution does not get under the edges onto the clear part.
The package holds masking templates only. The model, paints and glue are not included.
